The first time I heard about fabric was when I met Simon Harris (Publishing and Licensing Manager at fabric) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This was when Caspa’s Dub Police played at the big venue Paradiso. I took pictures there and Simon and Caspa really liked them. So they invited me to come over to fabric and take pictures at Caspa’s album launch party (‘Everybody’s Talking, Nobody’s Listening’ released on Fabric Records) this past April. Of course I said ‘yes’!
Since then I’ve been there twice. I really like fabric because of all the different levels and bars and places where you can sit down. But both times I also got completely lost in the hallways! It’s like a labyrinth for me. The big room is the place where I’ve been the most. In the DJ booth it’s really difficult to shoot because it’s always really dark and crowded, there is not much room. But it’s a lot of fun because you meet all your friends and DJs there behind the cage. And it’s close to the bar!
But the big stage is the best! With Caspa’s album launch it was stuffed with sooo many people. It was amazing! These London kids know how to party! I met so many nice people. It was one of the best nights I’ve been so far.
I hope to be back in London soon to visit fabric again. I love the crew, they are so friendly. Much love to Danna!
So here are a few pics I took at this amazing place.
Love x
Nika from the Netherlands
