Philadelphia?s Starkey invites us to enter in to his world, Starkville. It is a world inhabited by squealing synth lines, flailing arpeggios and seismic bass convulsions. Starkey?s music, ?street bass? as he has dubbed it, absorbs elements of grime, hip hop and dubstep to create something which is uniquely and profoundly his own.
