Audio: Deadbeat Disco - 3am Recordings x fabric Mix

This coming Saturday we're set to host the 10th birthday celebrations of a true bastion of all that's proper in underground electronic music, Leeds based imprint, 3am Recordings. It's solely helmed by an Al Bradley, the man who's solely responsible for all the A&R and the general making things happen. Sticking to the notion of housing all that's proper in that slightly more spangley vibe of 3am (when the peak has passed and the groove taken over) Bradley’s influences range from the far cosmic reaches of Italo to the deeper ranges of house and techno which echo through the label's back catalogue and are evident in his DJ collaboration with fellow Leeds resident, Phil Towers, as Deadbeat Disco. And to give us a taste as to what we can expect this coming Saturday, when the pair will both be breaking out their expansive record collections, they’ve presented us with this mix also inspired by their internationally syndicated Deadbeat Disco radio show… Of the mix, Bradley says: "On each radio show the 2nd hour is passed over to a guest, so with this mix we wanted to feature some of the people who’ve been kind enough to provide us guest mixes; as such, we have tracks from the likes of Joe Morris (Paper / Nang), Cage & Aviary (Internasjonal) & 2 Billion Beats (Paper Recordings / 3am). Talking of the 2BB gents, their ‘All Over Exposure’ track featured on the mix is being remixed by Deadbeat Disco, plus 3am label boss Al Bradley’s “Moosebeats” (done in his Audiotonic guise) has been remixed by the 2BB chaps, for release on Canada’s Deep Site Space label, which also features on this mix. Always on the lookout for new artists, the opening track on the mix from Softmore came as a result of the Deadbeat Disco show featuring an unreleased edit of theirs; this led to Softmore sending an exclusive preview of their upcoming album, from which “Sweat” is taken."
