Rinse FM DJ Oneman's FABRICLIVE 64 CD came out last Monday to a flurry of positive feedback and press coverage. And for all the compliments it’s received there’s a real physical joy that comes when you experience one of his sets live in the club environment. That’s when his knack for drawing on unpredictable material stops a floor dead or when a couple of his casually discharged blends sends the crowd into an appreciative rip roar. That’s why we’re really looking forward to Friday 3rd August when Oneman launches the CD in Room Two at FABRICLIVE.
He’ll be joined by Hyperdub boss Kode9 (who’s promised to play a garage set), Swamp81 owner and - if recent form means anything in this constantly shifting musical climate - global dancefloor barometer Loefah alongside his fellow Standard Place brethren Reecha, Jon Rust and the crew’s emcee, Asbo. The Room’s prospect is doubly exciting when you consider than Hessle Audio are taking over Room One with Jackmaster, Randall and KM/MM and dBridge is playing a five hour set in Room Three…
Ahead of the event we thought we’d combat the unofficial stream going around the internet with this, a stream of a 30 minute mix that Oneman made for the radio promotion of his mix CD.
