Brighton’s Maxxi Soundsystem exploded everywhere at the turn of 2011 with his club hit ‘Criticize’ - its vocal guided disco pump powered its way into the arsenals and playlists of people like Annie Mac and Beats in Space. Come early 2012 and Maxxi, real name Sam Watts, was tipped as one of those people to keep a watchful eye on by Mixmag and since then, with releases on labels like Make or Break on Needwant and remixes for artists like Hercules & Love Affair and The 2 Bears, he’s kept himself busy enough to live up to the expectation. Now working with labels like Futureboogie and Jaymo & Andy George’s, Moda Watts is making a couple of appearances in Farringdon over the next few months (namely in Room One this Friday for Moda and in Room Two in September for Futureboogie) so we figured it was time for us to let him introduce himself and the music he plays the best way know how...
