Audio: Peace In The Streets Mixed By Levon Vincent

In what many are calling our best line up of the year so far, Levon Vincent is the man we have called upon to headline Room One and is set to be joined by 2nd generation Detroit technoist Stacey Pullen, Bruno Prosato Live and Lick My Deck’s founding father Shaun Soomro.

When we found out Levon was coming back to Farringdon we got in touch to see if he could record another mix to follow his Novel Sound Promoganda adventure for our blog and so indeed a follow up was planned, but on recording the mix last week in the midst of riots and unrest in our city, the tone of carefree summer months shifted to chaos. Levon felt this affect, channeling it into what he wanted to do in this mix for us; so on our blog today we present Peace in The Streets Mixed by Levon Vincent, inspired and influenced by last week’s unrest...

“I did this mix after watching the recent troubles unfold in London. I had originally planned to do a mix that was a little more cheeky but when I watched everything happening, I just wanted to try to include a light theme, plus something related to the mood of the people's overall desire this summer, which, through my eyes, seems like relief. People want relief- so then, I made something for them.”
