In a couple of weeks’ time Orlando Higginbottom, who’s probably better known to you under his chart bothering Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs guise, will headline our Room One space for the first time, ever. Seemingly not phased or content with that fact, the emphatic producer will also be making an appearance in the Metalheadz hosted Room Two where he’ll be spinning an exclusive jungle set alongside d&b icons like Goldie and Randall. He’s already revealed his passion for breakbeats enlisting Calibre for an outstanding remix of his ‘Garden’ single and he further coloured in the outline a couple of weeks ago sharing some of his favourite jungle records with us and more than hinting at his passion for drum workouts from producers like Photek, Dillinja and Source Direct. But in the run up to his upcoming double header on Friday 8th November, he’s also shared with us something extremely special: an hour long mixtape that contains a wealth of music from some of his current musical beaus. Listening to it, it proves to be the perfect entrance point into his soundworld, a place where smart melodies collide with taught percussion and a pronounced sense of playfulness.
