Posted in Downloads Competitions Music Blog Mainline on Friday 28th August, 2009 by Dan Avery

Over at Kill Em All, we'll be posting some of the best bits from our blog, here on the fabric blog. A blog swap of sorts. Watch out for interviews, mixes, downloads and more from Kill Em All artists over the coming weeks. And see you in Room One next Friday with Popof, Aeroplane, Riton, Filthy Dukes, O Children and Stopmakingme...

(make sure you click after the jump for a chance to win tickets to the next Kill Em All onslaught on 4 September..)

<<FOR  YOUR GUITAR CRAVINGS>>

Boris (Optimo Remix)

Them lot over at RCRDLBL have a constant stream of quality music for free download. Always worth a look. This is a huge new remix from Kill Em All favourites Optimo for Japanese guitar warlords Boris. This is epic.

<<FOR A DOSE OF FILTH>>

Grease

It's A Fine Line is Ivan Smagghe and Tim Paris and together, they make disgustingly filthy sounding sleazecore electro records. The sample comes from the modern classic Fever by Pink Grease - how we miss them! A lot of modern bands should take note that THIS is how much fun you could/should be having.

Here's a low quality version of Grease for you to check out. Buy the full version from here.

<<FOR SOMETHING A BIT MORE LOVELY>>

Kindness

Part 2 of the Fabric post. The really wonderful Kindess play in Durrr's room on September 4th. There are some nice Arthur Russel vibes running through this music.

<<FOR A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING>>

Stopmakingme Podcast

You can now click on the image above to subscribe to a podcast series from Kill Em All/Fabric resident, Stopmakingme. Lots of free mixes for your ears.

<<FOR THE LOVE OF NEW WAVE POP>>

Ghostcat

Great sounding new artist Ghostcat with a really cool video. Very much in that Le Tigre/Peaches style which I'm a total sucker for.

<<FOR THAT FRIDAY FEELING>>

Friday's Classic Track - Cabaret Voltaire
I'd forgotten how amazing this record is. It's all about those chunky synth sounds.

*** A note from fabric: For those of you that took the time to enjoy this post to the end (and well done, you - I bet your ears and eyes are thankful) - if you're quick enough we'll give you a little reward. The first two people to tell us what you thought of Cabaret Voltaire will get a pair of tickets to the Kill Em All bash  next week - email hotdesk@fabriclondon.com
