Coming up this April is the hotly anticipated release of the debut long player from Bristol’s Antony Williams as Addison Groove on Modeselekter’s ever excellent 50 Weapons imprint. Few records make such an impression as his anthemic twelve ‘Footcrab’ that reached everywhere from the DJ sets of Surgeon to Aphex Twin back in 2010; it was a track that transcended between genre camps and set the precedent for the surge that was witnessed in the bass music movement back then.

Fast forward to today and on ‘Transistor Rhythm’ Williams keeps up the bass game with his booty beat drum patterns, signature glistening Casio keys and bouncing acapella edits all making for his strong sound in the production stakes. We can easily see why this has made him a contender for the next ‘The Nothing Special’ event in our Room Two space on 3rd March where he’ll be performing live alongside a DJ cast made up of Craig Richards, Trevino and Appleblim.
