Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo aka The Bloody Beetroots has a sound that has been described as imagining “the bastard son of the Misfits and Daft Punk”...which can only be a good thing, as far as we're concerned. Since bursting on the scene in 2007, this master of electro filth has refused to be ignored or catergorised as another electro DJ wannabe cast onto the wayside, with an unimaginably prolific release schedule...dude's racked up an impressive 45 remixes (yes, forty five) in a very short space of time, which includes the likes of Etienne De Crecy and Alex Gopher. With his productions featuring in best-selling video games (Fifa '09, Nba 2009, Need For Speed Pro Street, Need For Speed NITRO), it is without a doubt that the Bloody Beetroots sound has reached all ears across the globe, on both stages and screens.
These days, The Bloody Beetroots have a number of releases, including remixes and a full length album ('Romborama') under their belt...not to mention a rather unexpected side project, Rifoki, with Dim Mak guru Steve Aoki: a hardcore punk band, due to release their material in 2010. As for the (very near) future, the Bloody Beetroots and Steve Aoki are lined up to take over our Room Two this Sunday as part of the Official Get Loaded In The Park After-Party Bank Holiday special, a gargantuan team up with our WYS crew. And as always, Sir Bob will be joined by his performance partner Tommy Tea - keep an eye out for their characteristic venom masks...
The Bloody Beetroots have lovingly put together a set for our ears only, so share the love and get your click on…its bloody brilliant!
