Introducing...The Pachanga Boys

Hailing from different corners of the globe, Rebolledo and Superpitcher first linked arms in the studio after meeting up at a gig in Cologne. Their first track together ‘Fiesta Forever’ was aired on Kompakt’s ‘Total 10’ compilation showcasing a new direction for both of the producers individual sounds. Far removed from the pair’s solo work, Pachanga Boys is a project fuelled on fun and eccentricity, setting the president for extended disco journeys. Last year their own label Hippie Dance was born to share more of their studio outcome with the world. With two releases last year they’re getting ready for number three along with a string of DJ dates this summer so we figured it was high time for a chat ahead of their set in Room Two next Saturday. Hi guys, how’re you today? What’ve you been up to in recent weeks? All good thank you! Taking it kind of easy if possible and working on some poems. Can you please introduce yourselves to our blog readers? Once upon a time there were two young boys who felt they had something simple and beautiful to say. They wanted to talk of love, joy and being touched by life. Their names are Superpitcher and Rebolledo, together they are Pachanga Boys and they are trying to make the world a nicer place with their Hippie Dance. What is it that brought you together as producers? How long have you been working together now for? We are not even friends... each of our managers thought about three years ago it would be good for bussiness to have a German / Mexican duo on today´s music scene so they planned all of this... [jejeje] What do you like about each other’s solo work? What´s not to like about it! How is it different from the Pachanga Boys? If Superpitcher is Blueish and Rebolledo has some red... Pachanga Boys is kind of Purple. What exactly is this ‘Hippie Dance’ you speak of? It´s our aproach to the dancefloor, the spirit we like to spread while experiencing music. Also, funny coincidence... it´s the name of our own label. When can we hear some new records from you both? Soon!... Hippie Dance 003 is on its way! What can we expect from you when you come to Room Two next Saturday? We were actually counting on Room One, but anyway, Action, Reaction, Dancefloor Attraction...
