Digital Soundboy Soundsystem limited editions to be sold at Independent Label Market

Highly limited editions of the new FABRICLIVE 63: Digital Soundboy Soundsystem CD are to go on sale at the Independent Label Market this Saturday. The special editions feature exclusive, hand-printed artwork with portraits of the artists behind the mix: B. Traits, Shy FX and Breakage. This is the first time in the 10 year history of the fabric & FABRICLIVE series that an artist's likeness has appeared on the cover art. The artwork has been designed and produced by Lucio Bolognesi, aka Basik. The Italian artist fell in love with graffiti at an early age, and his work soon became renowned in his home country. He was named as one of the three most influential graffiti writers in a national hip hop magazine, and contributed to Italy's first official street art show at PAC (Milan’s contemporary art pavilion). Basik's work has been shown in Berlin and he is currently exhibiting in London. After more than a decade as a graffiti writer he has developed a broader range of techniques with which he creates idealized and slightly surreal figurative subjects, as demonstrated with these portraits of the Digital Soundboy crew. The FABRICLIVE 63 mix takes in a staggering 49 tracks for a breakneck tear-up through funk, house, dubstep, dancehall and drum & bass, with DJ Mag describing it as “a near-genius mash of everything good about modern dance music – one of the best FABRICLIVE comps ever.” Just 26 individually-numbered copies of this hand-printed special edition of the album have been produced especially for sale at the Independent Label Market, which takes place at Spitalfields this Saturday. fabric Records is amongst a plethora of esteemed independent record labels to be manning a stall, including Warp, R&S, Soul Jazz, XL and many more. "The hand printing leads to unique variations in every copy" "Each copy is individually numbered by hand by the artist"
