NEWSFLASH: FABRICLIVE - Winter 2013 Is Coming...

October has always felt like a time of regeneration here at fabric. Far from the start of a calendar year it’s our nightclub’s birthday month and as such it always comes with a dose of nostalgia; so with all that heritage in mind it feels like the perfect time for us to change tack. So this winter we’re changing our outlook a little and announcing our Friday night FABRICLIVE lineups as a three month seasonal block. Why? Well, because music evolves in elliptical circles and, as an artform, it seems to exist completely in cycles. Even if those cycles prove to be slow and cavernously wide or fast and compact, burning out after the initial bubble bursts, there’s always been a unique torrent of trends/gimmicks that play out alongside the slower broiling more transient shifts in UK club music. Throughout these new and changing musical manifestations FABRICLIVE has always existed to simply curate and align the best of these new sounds, acting as a respected stamp of approval that unites disparate sounds and scenes under the one roof and often on the same night. As the music itself evolves through these cycles, FABRICLIVE morphs and diversifies alongside it, resolving to house and incubate the best of the new talent coming through. With the winter of our 14th year soon approaching, this devotion to the best of these blossoming pockets of sound is something we thought proper to highlight as a whole. We'll be releasing full information on our new earlybird ticket system at www.fabriclondon.com at 12pm on Tuesday 6th August, but for now we'd just like to present our October-December 2013 schedule and drop these well timed hints... - On Friday 4th October Four Tet kicks off the program with an exclusive 8 hour set in Room One and to compliment it, he helped put together the Room Two line up that features Brainfeeder artist and 3024 owner Martyn, NY’s Anthony Naples, our very own Houndstooth signing, Call Super and RBMA graduate, Alitrec. - The Black Butter imprint takeover Room One on 11th October with a headline DJ set from Basement Jaxx and a fine supporting cast built from their label roster. - Production legend, DJ Spinna, will be joining DJ Marky in Room One for an installment of Marky & Friends on 1st November - a night that also welcomes back London grime pilot’s Butterz to Room Two with a live performance from JME topping a solid family lineup. - Boys Noize Records returns to Farringdon on 15th November with sets from their associated producers Boys Noize, Strip Steve, SCNTST and Audionite, whilst BN family Djedjotronic pops up in Room Two alongside Kowton and Jimmy Edgar. - On Friday 15th November Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs will be curating the lineup across two rooms here in Farringdon with Metalheadz in Room Two. Alongside a DJ set from TEED there'll be performances from The 2 Bears and Jesse Rose and that's just in Room One alone. - The Hessle Audio trio will reach a natural landmark come Friday 6th December when they takeover all three rooms of fabric. Inviting underground Detroit legend, Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir to share Room One the rest of the club features heros and friends with Blawan, Objekt, DJ TLR and Joe all making appearances.
