NEWSFLASH: Lineup For Dusky Presents In March Announced

It’s hard to think of a name that has risen as quickly within the UK underground quite as rapidly as Dusky has. Championed by DJs as diverse as Loefah, Jamie Jones, Boddika, Skream and Sasha, their singles such as ‘Flo Jam,’ Nobody Else’ and ‘Careless' have showcased their take on both classic and contemporary influences that hit with a distinctly UK edge. On 14th March 2014, Dusky Presents will see the London duo headline Room One playing an extended four hour set alongside curating all three rooms at FABRICLIVE. “With our club sound influenced by house, techno, garage and their many underground hybrids," say Dusky; "we really wanted to represent as much of that spectrum as possible with our first 'Dusky Presents' lineup at fabric." “Loefah’s taste-making DJ sets always stand out from the pack and his Rinse FM plays of 'Flo Jam' were a real turning point for us in terms of exposure. His sets are experimental and raw but dancefloor focussed - he felt like the perfect person to finish off the night. For the warm-up we wanted someone that knows house music inside out and could play with class, subtlety and depth. Youandewan is that man. “Techno has always been a major influence to us both as DJs and producers and the sound has so much heritage so it was important for us to represent its roots. Joey Beltram is responsible for some of the genre's most defining tracks in tracks such as 'Energy Flash' and 'Mentasm'. Jimmy Edgar's tracks have featured in pretty much every DJ set we’ve played in the last two years and always have a certain darkness whilst still retaining fun, humour and dancefloor dynamics. Artwork might be best known for his dubstep, but his techno tracks as Grain have been favourites of ours ever since we heard them on Richie Hawtin's classic 'Decks FX & 909' mix compilation from 1999 and it’s been great to see him re-establish that side of his production. Paleman is part of the School Records family and another artist that is bringing a percussive, gritty edge to house and techno. “When we look back over our combined garage vinyl, not many labels pop up quite as much as Nice N Ripe so booking a nostalgic label showcase from one of label's most prolific producers, Grant Nelson, was a bit of a dream come true. Benny Ill is another underground legend thanks to both his work with Horsepower Productions and his untouchable garage sets who also remixed our forthcoming '9T8' track in style and finally, Klose One... well Klose One is simply the best party DJ we know!” For advance tickets and further information, check out the event page.
