New Sounds: Greezeline?

The bassline sound has been going for nearly 10 years now with venues such as Niche in Sheffield hosting weekly nights et al. But over the past year or so many fans of the music have slated many a producer for making the tunes too grime-y and not making any tunes for the "gyal dem" (which I totally understand, as it’s all about the ladies at the end of the day)...but there comes a time when you just can’t stop a movement from happening.

DJ Surgery and I are officially calling this movement, ''Greezeline'', because when you have producers such as Swifta Beater, DJ Pantha (and the odd DJ Q track) making such grime-y tunes it needs to have its own name. These guys are making some next level music right now, you can’t even compare it to “normal” bassline. UKB is another sound currently getting made up in the Midlands and it’s basically a mix between bassline with a heavy influence of old skool garage; the aim is to bring it back to the style of bassline of yesteryear with more vocals and less wobble. But when you have tracks like the one below, you just can’t leave it un-noticed can you?
