Audio: A Duo of Mixes from Stopmakingme

One of the driving forces behind the Kill Em All label, Stopmakingme, is a regular around these parts, dropping mixes and sneak exclusives of the various projects he’s involved in. We’re happy when he does this as it gives us an excuse to turn the speakers up. Ahead of the KEA posse’s Room Two curation this Friday, where they’ve got S.C.U.M and Visions of Trees playing live alongside DJ sets from their residents and the Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team, Stopmakingme has dropped us a duo of mixes. Yep not one, two. The first is a mix he made for the Modular series which “includes the first plays of my remixes for Metronomy and Munk,” he told us upon submission. “Plus there’s something new on our Kill Em All label, another track with Justin Robertson plus an exclusive from the upcoming Death In Vegas record.” Download: Stopmakingme - Modcast DJ Mix (May 2011) The second is a mix he was asked to put together by Black Devil Disco Club, in his words: “a legend and huge musical inspiration. I didn't want to simply make a megamix of the new album so my mix features BDDC stuff old and new plus a lot of music I'm playing at the moment which, I feel, has been influenced in some way by Mr.Bernard Fevre. It also includes my new Black Devil remix which I'm very excited about.” Download: Stopmakingme - Mix For Black Devil Disco Club (April 2011) Catch Stopmakingme in Room Two on Friday.
