Few cities seem to have such a precise and unique grasp on soundsystem ready music at the minute as Manchester do. More and more the city is yielding game changing music with the likes of the Houndstooth signed Akkord leading the charge (though admittedly we’re more than a little bit biased). We’re privy to a lot of unreleased music around these parts and we’re super stoked to reveal that a couple of the names that have cropped up in conversation a number of times now (and not just on our listings page when the weekly Hit & Run party makes the journey from its native city to London) decided to join forces and make an extra special mix to commemorate our club turning 14 years old. Behold, Acre and Luke Leadbelly: a couple of young producers doing increasingly interesting things in and around the axis where dubstep, techno and grime collide. This mixtape fully outlines both of their approaches to club music, with a smattering of exclusive Acre music setting the pace.
