Presenting a uniquely curated lineup, like the one happening in the Hessle Audio full club takeover this Friday, allows us discovery. It's something we touched on a couple of weeks ago when we presented an introducing interview with the Berlin based artist, Blue Hour and again last week when archiving Ben UFO's set from our 15th Birthday party, but it's definitely a process that bears repeating. By the Hessle label's nature the opportunity to take over all three rooms affords them the chance to take some risks in terms of programming and put together the sort of spirited and unique glimpse into their relationships and their individual listening habits we lust after.
Berlin's Henning Baer is the latest person we'll be introducing before the weekend and he's a producer who'll actually be making his Farringdon debut on Friday. Obviously we asked him if he'd like to colour in between the outlines of his biography and reputation by putting together a mixtape for us that would embellish and explain a bit more about the music he plays and the styles he prefers, because we've always believed it beneficial to let the music speak for itself. As a founder a resident of the esteemed Grounded Theory party though, Baer's already put himself in the sort of position a lot of aspiring DJs covet, enabling him the sort of control and elasticity over his lineups and style of play that other's envy. And that shines bright in his mixing and selection. Now a regular at Berlin clubs of esteemed repute it's Baer's releases on his own K209 label as well as on Adam X's Sonic Groove and Psyk's Non Series that best express his penchant for thundering, functional techno; the sort you'll be sure to find in Room Two on Friday night...
