Audio: Matthew Burton - fabric x Fear of Flying Records Promo Mix

Having fully immersed himself in the qualities of the groove-ridden 4/4 array for over 10 years, Matthew Burton’s deference and dedication to the scene has forged a passion for quality underground music that only a select few really hold. His productions have been housed in some the most pioneering of house music camps including Visionquest, Leftroom and Fear of Flying Records as well as Shifted Flow, his self-conducted, vinyl-only label he runs with Kate Ratford. Across the scale, Burton reaches the far corners of the dance music map including his own musical abode and techno’s uncompromising capital Berlin where he currently resides. You could just say that these are all the typical qualities you’d expect of every artist but it’s his distinctive style that has garnered him the acclaim so many strive to achieve. Whilst there are heavy elements of groove and soul to his music, his ability to create an eclectic blend between slow, tripped out techno and the fusion of dark electronica, reggae and dub are what makes his sets so refreshingly brilliant. As always, we like to satisfy the needs of our dedicated party goers even before they’ve reached the doors of our clubbing locale with a feast of mixes and playlists suitably created to get the vibes rolling ahead of the weekend and we kindly asked Matthew if he could be the next contender before he heads to Room Three on Saturday 23rd November when Fear of Flying Records take over.
