The label have always shown that they hold a sharp scope for their A&R, consistently presenting music from the next wave of innovative producers. As well as homing work by the likes of Aphex in the ‘90s they’ve been the people to thank [mainly] for bringing the latest generation through; records from the likes of Blawan, Tessela, Untold and Space Dimension Controller have all appeared with the iconic horse logo. Getting a tip from R&S doesn’t only mean they’ll pay for your product to be made and distributed, it generally means that you’re making something that is genuinely different and engaging.
That ethos most definitely applies to label’s the latest signees, Second Storey and Appleblim with their collaborative project ALSO, who now have two EPs out already in circulation and a third to follow before a full LP later this year. Fully deploying Storey's next level drum programming and Osbourne's ear for weird melodies the project realises their brilliant blend of machine funk. They're part of the cast that are set to populate R&S' forthcoming takeover of Room Two on 21st March. They’ll be joined on the night by Lone, Alex Smoke and Space Dimension Controller who’ll be showcasing new music in his laser powered live show.
Being that we’re huge fans of the label and considering that we wanted to deliver something special ahead of the event we've locked heads with the label to offer up some of their astonishing back catalogue stock as well as tickets to the party to one lucky winner.
