We've written so many complimentary words about Slam over the years, their consistent hard work and production of pretty astonishing club music is second to none while their curation of Soma Records has for the last twently plus years provided a pretty solid backbone of all that is great and good in techno today. Their latest LP Reverse Proceed sees them continuing this legacy, going beyond the dancefloor seeing Orde Meikle and Stuart McMillan set meditative swathes of electronics beside pleasingly machinic workouts and bouts of acid which create an affecting listen at home or on in the rave - it's a record that has been on heavy rotation in the fabric office that's for sure.
They're returning to Farringdon in just a few weeks time and instead of working their DJ prowess in the booth they're set to realise the new LP live on stage offering a more personal expression of where they're currently at musically. So, in the run up to the show and being the generous types they are at Soma HQ we've been sent a pair of CD's to give away to one of our readers which we're going to add a two pairs of tickets two to double up on the prizes for your chance to enter all you have to do is ensure you're able to attend the do on the 29th and drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with 'Top Marks To Reverse Proceed' in the subject line. Winners will be notified this time next week.
