Crate Diggin'
8 Tracks That Sound Great In Room One According To Groove Armada

More than adept at powering dancefloors with their colossal club cuts, Groove Armada are an outfit who certainly warrant their title as one of the biggest and best-selling dance duos on the planet. Their ever growing discography reaps a hotbed of both impressively anthemic and underground house music with the duo having added their latest flex, Little Black Book (their own instalment of Moda Black's forward-thinking compilation series) to their discography's arsenal earlier this year. More-so the pair, who've spent the best part of this year appearing at an endless list of clubbing and festival hotspots the world over, will continue to plumb their basement pursuits with another appearance at our own Farringdon haunt a week on Friday.

Set to take on Room One and provide our first space with exactly the kind of mammoth selections we're talking about, the boys have generously flicked through the crates so they could share with us their own personal playlist of the tracks that they know sound impeccably great on our custom constructed Martin Audio rig.

Harry Romero - Aquarium

Groove Armada: "We've been hammering this all summer. A thing of real tribal beauty and a breakdown not just there for the sake of a whoop and a holler - though it does always gets one."

DJ T - Euphoria

"A brilliant label working with a brilliant producer ends up, not surprisingly, in a killer tune. It's a real skill making something so easy on the ear and so hands in the air at the same time."

Andreas Gehm - Fire Department West

"Now this is the kind of nailed on acid house we love and it'll feel right at home in fabric. It could well make its debut in Room One."

Geddes feat Eli - On the Streets (Richie Ahmed Remix)

"Words cant express how much we love hearing this tune on a system. So here it is..."

Brawther - GSM's Life (MLIU Dub)

"Maybe before things get too frantic we can roll with this. There's some serious soul and some serious swing."

Downtown Brooklyn Inc - 10 Jay Street (610 Dub)

"A stone cold classic to our ears that we'll need to make up the warm up session but it's a beautiful and elegant way to get a party started."

Paolo Rocco - That I Am (Point G Mix)

Tito Wun - The Way U Do It (Damiano von Eckert's 1994 Rave Mix)

"A great late night jam. We love pretty much everything Dam von E does but in particular we like how he gives this one a bit of extra muscle. The vocal works a treat."
