fabric's 14th Birthday: A Survival Guide In Miniature

Wow. It really is less than a few hours until our 14th Birthday weekend begins. Yep, if you didn’t quite get the memo before, tonight marks 14 years of FABRICLIVE and then tomorrow night, at 11pm, we’re opening for some 30+ hours of non-stop shenanigans. Logistically we’re pretty much ready, but there’s no question that a lot of the team are already feeling those excited pre-party butterflies. With a birthday celebration like no other imminent, even for our most devoted party goers there are things that are about to go down that only we, the fabric team, are remotely prepared for, so being the good Samaritans that we are, we thought we’d provide you with a little guide, a kind of fabric birthday bible for to make sure you are getting the absolute most out of your fabric birthday experience... Tickets: Advance tickets for FABRICLIVE tonight are still available here. All advance weekend tickets (Sat-Mon) have now sold out. Fear not though, there will be plenty of tickets on the door throughout the weekend and remember, you can buy a separate ticket for the Sunday leg of the party which kicks off at 10am here. Weekend Wristbands: Upon entry on Saturday night/Sunday, you will be given a wristband. This wristband will afford you re-entry privileges until 10pm on Sunday night. After that, there will be no re-entry. Simply put, it will allow you to leave the club - whether that’s to grab a cuppa, get some sleep or pop over to St Paul’s and see your mum for a quick burrito as Sunday Lunch, whatever – and get back in at any point over the weekend. Dress Code: On Saturday, for one night only, we are going to dismiss our usual anti fancy dress policy and get absolutely dolled up in the most outrageous party attire! From feather boas and silly hats to full on pirate outfits, we will be dressed head to toe in techni-colour ridiculousness and we’d like you to be right there with us. Please note: drawing whiskers on your face doesn’t count. Cocktails: Cocktails are always an important ingredient on any birthday celebration but this Saturday we’ll be adding a tantalising twist to our normal drinks menu. Each of our cocktails will be tailored to match some of the artists set to play over the weekend including a Ricardo Sunrise, a Crew Lovibre, a Zippito and a Bloody Terry. Keep a look out for the menu in the VIP bar… Food: It’s inevitable that the most relentless ravers are going to start to feel a little peckish and probably slightly lethargic as you reach the early hours of Sunday morning. So being the dutiful hosts that we are, we’ve set up two of the finest mobile cuisines to relieve your hunger from Sunday onwards. Streetzza, a crafty little street art decorated pizza van will be serving the finest pizza slices straight from their stone-baked oven and we’ll also be serving a delectable selection of pulled-pork sandwiches, pig rolls with apple sauce alongside burgers and hotdogs. Yum. Brain Machine: Yep, we weren’t quite sure what this was either until about two days ago when a couple of the team made the trip to its Blackstock Road base, but just make sure to keep a look out for it. It’ll send your night into a kaleidoscopic frenzy. And finally: Here’s a handy little list of things for you to remember over the weekend: Your ticket (this is pretty vital for entry… obviously) Your ID (this could also be pretty important) Your fancy dress costume (please note, there are no limits with this - the more outrageous, the better) Your absolute game face A good pair of shoes (30 hours of relentless dancing simply won’t be possible in pair of high heels or sandals)
