Exclusive Alex Nut - FABRICLIVE Promo Mix

There’s a lot that’s been written about Alex Nut to date. Following the launch of his Eglo Records imprint, his close working relationship with producer savant, Floating Points, and his constantly on point radio show on one of London’s most important radio stations, Rinse.fm, he’s become somewhat of a key and vocal figure in underground dance culture.

Selecting the finest music on his Saturday lunchtime slot he’s invited producers as varying as FaltyDL and Kyle Hall into his world, and each weekend he can be heard bridging the gaps between hip hop and house music over the airwaves of London. His importance and segmented role (as one of the stations only hip hop DJs) on Rinse didn’t go un-noticed; his stalwart approach to his selection landed him the 8th in the series of Rinse Recordings mix CDs - with Nut joining the influential ranks of other CD curators Geeneus, Skream and Plastician last year.

With his career going from strength to strength it’s a pleasure for us to have him down here in Farringdon in Room Two this Friday, where he joins his station colleagues Geeneus with Katy B &Tippa, Lil Sliva and Oneman on an incredibly savvy dancefloor line up. Ahead of the event - and despite his devastatingly busy schedule, Nut has kindly put together a promo mix which beautifully surmises a little of what he is about right now, in March 2010.
