Feed Your Stereo: Richard Fearless Mix For BBC 6Music

Richard Fearless Recorded for Tom Ravenscroft’s BBC 6music show, this 20 minute mix is a sonic diversion into Death in Vegas’ latest studio offering ‘Trans-Love Energies’ which we’re set to present the debut live performance of in our venue next Thursday. Richard Fearless will be coming with his full live band on the eve of the new LP’s release ahead of a full UK tour scheduled for December. We’re more than excited to host the performance and to welcome Andrew Weatherall, who’s infamous Rotters Golf Club Studios housed the making of the album, to DJ in support alongside sets from Richard Fearless himself and Stopmakingme. On the ‘Trans Love Energies’ album, Richard Fearless returns to London from New York with a minimal approach to music making, stripping back the machines and audible elements. “The best dub and the best techno – it’s all about minimal components,” Fearless states when discussing making an album that will last the test of time. “Conjuring up the most feeling from the least tools... If you can trigger emotion with the most minimal amount of sound, that’s job done as far as I’m concerned.” And set upon this seemingly minimalist premise, the new album evocatively ventures between electronic pop and ethereal drone, allowing us to indulge in the Death in Vegas sound for a sixth time since the 1997 debut album, ‘Dead Elvis.’ Richard Fearless Mix For BBC 6Music by Death In Vegas To buy tickets for this event click here.
