NEWSFLASH: David Rodigan MBE Wins World Cup Clash

Word just hit the fabric office that Sir David Rodigan won this year's World Cup Clash in New York. His home radio station KISS reported: "In a closely fought final round against Jamaica’s Bass Odyssey sound, Rodigan came out on top after impressing the crowd with his selection of exclusive dub plates" - conclusive proof that he's still the best at clashing, with his truckload of exclusive dubplates. Anyone who's seen Rodigan perform can attest to his enthusiasm and vibrancy as a selector. Thats one of the reasons we're helping host RAM JAM in Room One on the 24th May. In association with Red Bull Music Academy, Rodigan will perform alongside a live PA from Bitty Maclean, Ms Dynamite, Caspa, Toddla T and The Hearwave after he's taken part a two hour special lecture hosted by BBC Radio 1's Benji B. As RBMA put it: "On Thursday 24th May Red Bull Music Academy and FABRICLIVE present Ram Jam - a night of explosive bass with gentleman rudeboy David Rodigan MBE at the helm. Bringing his coveted box of world-smashing dubplate specials and his inimitable command of the mic, expect a masterclass in crowd control-meets-dancefloor obliteration. Having cut his teeth playing youth clubs from the age of 15 and celebrating his 60th Birthday last year, Rodigan retains the glint in his eye, continues to destroy clubs and festival stages the world over, and shows no sign of slowing down."
