EC1 prepares for an evening of high-spec minimalism as Sonja Moonear and Rhadoo play Room One. A seasoned record collector of more than a decade, alongside her Perlon cohorts Moonear is known best for her tangible sense of groove. Blending refined soundscapes with classic house and techno cuts, Moonear plays a subtle sound led by Zip’s definitive imprint. Joining her is another leading player in the minimal field as Rhadoo returns. A founder of [a:rpia:r] and pioneer in playing stripped-back house, Rhadoo has been one of the most important visionaries of Romania’s flourishing electronic community. While his productions have often been shrouded in mystery, behind the decks he’s known these days for mixing unknown and often unreleased material with inexplicable precision. As longstanding advocates of their intricate and distinctive style, it’s a pleasure for us to welcome two key figures of the sound to share the Room One bill - SIT, the Romanian duo comprising Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia. While their productions are to be found on their imprint Amphia, in collaboration they also perform an enigmatic live set. The Room One bill is rounded off by an EC1 regular, Damaged co-founder and engaging selector: Matteo Manzini.

Room Two prepares for a full-on techno onslaught, with Blawan heading the proceedings. With raw edged techno productions spanning across some of the UK’s most definitive labels, Blawan has for the last few years been regarded as a leader in the UK field. Whether performing live as Karenn or drawing a range of selections behind the decks, Blawan has proven to be an uncompromising force. Joining him is Paula Temple, the R&S producer known for her fast-paced and tight mixing style. The bill is rounded off by Mote-Evolver key player Psyk bringing his toughened techno picks to test out Room Two’s Pioneer Pro rig.
