Leon Vynehall makes an overdue Farringdon debut as part of his DJ-Kicks Tour. By now one of the UK’s most established electronic musicians, Vynehall’s hallmark style takes in homegrown house and bass via experimentalist downtempo and electronica. While Vynehall spent much of last year performing live in support of his Ninja Tune-backed ‘Nothing Is Still’ LP, this March he debuts with us to return to his formative roots, the dancefloor. He’s joined by two pioneering figures of the modern Bristolian sound, as Bruce and Ploy play go back-to-back. Known best for their idiosyncratic style of bass-affected rhythms, both artists have a sound closely linked to leading UK labels like Timedance and Hessle Audio. Having stormed her debut with us last December, Kelly Lee Owens brings her leftfield techno aesthetic to round off the Room One bill.
Room Two sees Dave Clarke land. By now one of our seasoned Room Two regulars, Clarke is widely considered one of the UK’s pioneers for techno and electro, a true master of the craft of DJing. Also joining is Jay Clarke, who brings the hard-edged techno sound that’s made him a Room Two mainstay in recent years.
