Floating Points plays all day long in celebration of our 20th anniversary. Over the course of the last decade Sam Shepherd has garnered a reputation as one of electronic music’s truly singular voices, carving a genre-spanning sound that lies somewhere between house, bass, soul and jazz. Throughout his career, Shepherd has earned acclaim for his distinctively rich compositions, which can be found on his two London-based imprints, Eglo and Pluto. Shepherd’s musical career has been closely linked to the capital, and in between his regular dates at Shoreditch’s once-beloved Plastic People, he’s stopped by Farringdon to perform for us both live and as a DJ. On Sunday 7th July, he digs through his crates for another all day long matinee set as part of our 20th anniversary series, XX. Expect to hear a blend of the first-rate techno, house, disco, jazz and soul records that help form his vibrant sound world.
