Farringdon welcomes three undisputed house music innovators, as François K, Boo Williams and Glenn Underground play Room One. François K’s illustrious music career dates as far back as the 1970s, when he first picked up DJing while living in New York City. He was one of the key faces behind the city’s dance music explosion, regularly playing at the revered Paradise Garage club and his own legendary party, Body and Soul. He’s contributed to countless records as an engineer, mixer and producer over the last five decades, and he remains one of DJ culture’s most influential artists. For his upcoming appearance with us, he’s joined by Chicago pioneers Boo Williams and Glenn Underground playing back-to-back. Boo Williams is one of Chi town’s finest exports, responsible for some of house music’s Holy Grail records. Glenn Underground first schooled him in production in the early 90s, a meeting that would later see him releasing seminal tracks for labels like Relief, Residual and Guidance. Underground is equally one of the genre’s most acclaimed producers. He’s put out timeless records on the likes of Cajual, Guidance and his own Strictly Jaz Unit – labels synonymous with Chicago’s home-grown deep house sound. Williams and Underground go head-to-head to round off a night celebrating some of our music scene’s preeminent figures.
