So far this year our 20th anniversary celebrations have taken us from our London home base to Barcelona and across Brazil, and we’re now pleased to announce we’ll be heading further than we’ve ever gone towards the end of the year. This December we head to Australia for the first time ever, inviting a cast of our closest family members to join us for two very special XX showcases.

Our tour commences in Melbourne on Friday 7th December. We link up with Novel, a crew who have been a keystone of the city’s nightlife landscape for almost a decade. The respected outfit have long pushed a strain of house and techno in line with our own musical identity, so we’re thrilled to link up with them for our first visit down under.

The following day, we head to Monkerai, New South Wales to be part of what’s quickly become the best electronic music festival in Australia: Subsonic. An idyllic setting, elaborate stage production, high-class sound and exceptional booking policy have all helped put Subsonic on the map over the last few years, so we’re naturally thrilled to be invited to host our own stage to close out this year’s party.

We venture out with a team of selectors who have always been close to us. Ricardo Villalobos famously shares a long and colourful history with us dating back to 2002, and is set to bring his mind-bending minimalist antics for a rare appearance on Australian soil. Craig Richards’ relationship with us equally goes without saying, and as the face and musical guide of our London space, he is the perfect addition to our bill. A master of his own inimitable brand of melody-tinged techno, Mathew Jonson has been behind some of electronic music’s biggest dancefloor anthems of the last decade, and prepares to showcase the same electric live performance he’s delivered in Farringdon over the years. We also welcome Margaret Dygas, the Perlon artist with a penchant for trippy minimal and deep, dubby house cuts. Prior to her move to Berlin, Dygas cut her teeth as a DJ in our very own booth, and has been coming back to play our EC1 spot regularly for the last 15 years. Bobby. has already had a massive year since joining our ranks officially, and we’re proud to have him rounding out our bill in classy form. Ricardo Villalobos, Craig Richards, Mathew Jonson and Bobby. all join us for our first night in Melbourne, with Margaret Dygas also set to join the party as we head into the wilderness to close out the weekend at Subsonic.
