Mala brings Deep Medi back to Farringdon. The dubstep visionary is one of electronic music’s most singular voices, and through his leading imprint, he’s honed his own strain of meditative, bass-heavy frequencies at 140BPM. It’s a sound that’s synonymous with the Deep Medi camp, which is mostly comprised of a small group of likeminded UK producers who have been influenced by Mala. For his next takeover, he invites label mainstay Commodo to present his own collection of deep cuts, while Egoless brings his reggae-affected take on the style. Bristolian dub specialists Dubkasm and FABRICLIVE regular Compa both prepare to return, while the bill is rounded off by a UK artist on the rise, Samba. Expect deep, sub-driven dubs the whole way through.

Room Two heads on a reggae tip, as Scotch Bonnet Records take over. The influential imprint has long been at the heart of Glasgow’s music scene, championing a sound that’s rooted in Jamaican sound system culture. The label has also become a regular fixture with us at FABRICLIVE, and for their next date, all of the crew’s key figures land. Label founders and operators of their own renowned sound system, Mungo’s Hi-Fi return. Leeds duo Iration Steppas also prepare for a special set highlighting the best of the dancehall genre. Mungo’s staple Eva Lazarus also touches down, while Chief Rockas, Rapture 4D and Angus Taylor all debut with us to round out a night of deep, dub-powered sonics.
