We host a very special Forms showcase as part of our XX series. Leading the proceedings is Kölsch, the beloved German producer known for his melody-heavy style of house. The Kompakt artist has become something of a Farringdon mainstay in recent years, regularly laying down his signature brand of 4/4 at our Friday night house sessions. This year he also curated an excellent edition in our fabric presents mix series, a ten-part album of exclusive material he described as his own ode to Room One. This October, he’s joined in the same space by Agoria, whose ties with us date back to 2004. The French talent has been one of our favourite producers for years now, crafting a singular sound that takes in techno, jazz, and a lot more in between. Having joined us a number of times already on our 20th year, our own Tommy Vercetti steps in to complete the bill.
Manoo comes to Room Two. The French producer is one of house’s most distinctive voices today, honing a soulful, afro-rooted sound that’s utterly his own. Over the years he’s put out records on labels like Deeply Rooted House, Real Tone and Reel People, while his DJ sets borrow from the same warm, rhythmic style of house. We keep things on a soul-minded tip through the rest of the evening, as Kemet Soul chief Dave Anthony and Tribe signee DJEFF round off what should be a memorable night marking our 20th birthday celebrations.
