Mount Kimbie return to Farringdon for the first time since 2010. The London duo join us in Room One, bringing the experimentalist style of electronica that’s earned them acclaim around the world. Through their early days they emerged during the explosion of the UK’s ‘post-dubstep’ movement, becoming key flagbearers for the sound alongside a tightknit circle of likeminded talents. Back then they were best known for their ties to Scuba’s Hotflush imprint, but they’ve since honed their craft as part of the ever-inspiring Warp roster. In recent years they’ve released two excellent IDM-affected LPs via the Sheffield imprint, as well as a string of club-minded singles with a disposition for house, downtempo and techno. They’re also beloved for their DJ appearances, and when they touch down this November, they prepare to dig deep into their record collections for the night. Paranoid London also showcase their singular acid-tinged sound, performing live off the back of the release of this year’s ‘PL’ album. We also welcome nd_baumecker, the German selector and resident at Panorama Bar. His sets at the storied Berlin club typically cross an eclectic mix of house, disco and techno, an approach he also presents in his regular appearances across Europe. NTS Radio talent and all-round killer DJ DEBONAIR finally lands to round off the bill.
