It’s been a busy year for Hrdvsion, aka Nathan Jonson. With three 12”s to his name already this year – compared to the single release we digested last year – there’s one in particular that’s been grabbing people’s attention; his split release with Midnight Operator (his project with brother Mathew Jonson) With many a positive word attributed to it ‘Prettier Than That’ fulfils its promise of a ‘monster’ track to the end, underpinned by a heavy driving four on the four beat, it’s overlayed by R&B songstress Brandy’s cut up vocal and this mix of cut up sounds and most brutal of beats is, for us, what Hrdvsion’s production is all about.
