We’re welcoming back Jaymo & Andy George’s Moda party here next Friday where they’ll be celebrating the release of their Moda Black compilation (which you can win copies of here) with performances from Jacques Lu Cont, Miguel Campbell, Maxxi Soundsystem and Hot Since 82. To give the wider internet a bit more of a better idea of the kinds of things you can expect the boys to be reaching for on the night we asked them to put together a chart for us; like a Top 5 floorfiller kind of deal.
This is what they picked:
Mia Dora – Jailbait
Mia Dora are two guys from Scotland. We're seriously excited about these guys and we thought this would be a cool introduction to them. The next artist EP on Moda Black will be a four track from these guys and it's a full-on trip into their minds. This track features on our Moda Black compilation which drops on Monday!
NTFO & Karmon - Nobody Else
Diynamic is probably one of our favourite labels right now, this jam has caused serious damage in Ibiza on the Space Terrace and Solomon's just brought out a compilation full of bombs which are just as cool.
Nick Monaco & Kill Frenzy - This1 That1
This is one of our favourite tracks from the compilation. When we heard this in a club, we were like wow! This track has sub-bass frequencies we didn't know existed, it sounds completely ridiculous and it really gets in people’s heads, people walk up to us and shout the lyrics. It's a certified banger!
Walker & Royce - Connected
We're big fans of Walker & Royce and this is our favourite track to date. They've just put out an EP on Crosstown Rebels but this is a new thing on Off Recordings, it's a simple idea but it sounds so good out and that lead riff just takes it to a whole new level
Hot Since 82 - Knee Deep In Louise
We released his debut EP on Moda Black, and he made this for our debut compilation. In his own words it's the biggest track when he plays his own stuff out, and we couldn't agree more, Hot Since 82 is a massive talent to look out for over the next 12 months…
Catch Jaymo & Andy George in Room One on Friday 13th July.
