Audio: Murat Tepeli's Mix From His Past

Every day of every month it seems our inboxes overflow with fresh waves of new music. In the last few weeks alone we've had a fearsome techno mix from Ben Sims full of unreleased goods and a pristine live recording from Detroit kingpin, Kenny Larkin recorded at Berlin institution, Watergate. Each carefully constructed DJ session carries a special weight and a different energy, giving us something new to remember the artist by and today on the blog, Murat Tepeli unveils his retrospective side, digging out a mix recorded a decade ago, exposing us to his hybrid of sounds connected to that house music era. Murat Tepeli is masterly proficient in his career of two extremes. Balancing his profession as a Surgeon with his DJ activity at Berlin's dance after dark mecca, Panorama Bar - challenging himself and those surrounding him with daring journeyed sets and his contemporary take on house music. As a producer, Murat made his first release stamp on the sleeves of the aforementioned Playhouse label back in 2005 with his 'On A Ride' EP featuring his close music chum Prosumer and together the pair have regularly collaborated on Berghain's bastion of quality techno, Osgut Ton. Keep an eye on the blog over the next few weeks as we explore the terrain of Murat and Prosumers illuminated friendship in their first ever back to back interview - all before they delight us in Room Three on 20th April. To keep you grooving till then, we suggest you download this timeless vinyl mix from Murat Tepeli and listen out for the quirky South Park extract which we never expected to hear but love for the sheer surprise element.
