The weekend is edging ever closer. In case you missed our reminders (and staff fancy dress shenanigans) over the last few weeks, this one happens to be the biggest date of the year for us as we celebrate our 19th birthday. On Saturday night we’ll open our doors for a 30-hour marathon, with a host of our most cherished artists set to provide the musical backdrop.
Making his birthday debut with us this year is Bobby Pleasure. Curator of his own Pleasure Club party and a favourite in London’s underground scene, you may have already caught Pleasure at places like the Lion and Lamb, where he frequently plays alongside our own Craig Richards. He’s also someone you’ll be seeing more often in Farringdon in the near future – look out for more news on that soon.
To warm us up for this year’s 30-hour marathon, we asked Pleasure to put together a string of party tunes in the spirit of our birthday. To warm us up for the rave weekend, he mixed trippy bangers from Ricardo Villalobos to Dimensional Holofonic Sound, summarised as follows:
“This mix is a selection of records I’ve been playing this year and beyond, pieced together with the spirit of the birthday firmly in my mind. A big happy birthday to the best club in the world, and thank you for inviting me to join you. Let’s celebrate.”
