At a time when dubstep has, quite publically, peaked, the music needs regular nights to spread it’s infection in new and different ways and Chestplate’s reliance on its team is one of the ideals that helps spread that contagion. The Coventry based producer, District – along with his B2B DJ partner, Sleeper – has become an integral part of the Chestplate outlook and it’s a fact that’s overtly evident in his mixtape for us where his heady low end sits underneath sharp, simplistic, hypnotic percussion.
