Audio: Introducing Kyrist’s Techstep Powered Drum & Bass Sound

Kyrist is a Bristol-based drum & bass producer and DJ. While this scenario might sound fairly typical, Kirsty Clarke’s journey to this point has been far from the norm. From her earliest releases she’s been playing her tech-led sound out regularly, with gigs for people like Outlook and Renegade Hardware helping her gain wider recognition from an early age. For a while she’s also been closely linked with Dispatch Recordings, the revered imprint where she currently juggles the responsibilities of being both a resident DJ and label manager. She’s also written music for the label, with her Venomous EP earlier this year getting support from techstep behemoths like Noisia and Phace.
