Audio: Listen Back to Saoirse’s Warm Up Set from 4th February

Saoirse is a DJ, producer and radio host. She first cut her teeth on the Irish radio channel RTE, and soon after relocating to London she’d started playing regularly on Rinse FM. Living in the capital she turned heads playing at parties like Toi Toi – she also became more than familiar with all of us as a regular at our Ricardo Villalobos marathon sessions. A record collector from a young age, Saoirse typically blends house, techno, dub and garage with a charming subtlety. We experienced this first hand when she came to open up Room One last month. Playing ahead of Loco Dice and Craig Richards, Saoirse’s deep and far-reaching selections went down as one of the night’s highlights – so much so that we unlocked the recording from the vaults for everyone to hear. Taking in 90s house through to rolling Romanian minimal, it’s a heady trip that sounds just as engrossing through a pair of earphones as it did on our Martin Audio rig.
