Audio: Stream Avatism's 'Adamant'

Renowned for his captivating, doom-laced audio-logical imprints, housed in the confinements of his own four walls, Avatism is part of a distinctive class of electronica that comes doused in subtle and penetrating techno qualities. After already experiencing his captivating style through releases on labels such as Vakant and Dumb-Unit, it’s his most recent creation that firmly pushes the envelope. Described as “a glimpse into how a city shapes life and how intrinsically life then shapes music", Adamant is  definitely his most empirical record to date. Avatism’s already explained how the record was a chance to explore other forms of writing, production and collaboration and just how the production was imposed under strict conditions so that it would evolve differently than his earlier works: "I imposed mandates on myself while making it: the tracks (the music, at least) had to be written in a day. “Written”, not mixed, arranged or produced, simply "written" and even though I was convinced the album was going into a different/wrong direction approximately 292829 times while making it I decided to follow through on all the musical parts that I developed in these one day cycles." The record, once a colourful map of audio-fuelled patterns, is now a tantalising whole, cloaked in depth, detailing and sweet immediacy, will be released on October 28th on Vakant. Ahead of the release, Avatism has kindly given us a quick glimpse of the album by streaming it on his Soundcloud. Listen here:
