Last year was a prolific one for New York house artisan, Levon Vincent. It was the year of his fabric 63 compilation - an introspective masterclass in low-end deep house, defining not only himself but his faithful family of NYC comrades, Black Jazz Consortium, Jus Ed, DJ Qu, to radiate an undefined purity of sound that is brilliantly and wholly their own. It was voted a true favourite in the end of 2012 polls, an award deserved indefinitely and we were heartened by Levon this January when he sent us a weighty package of 12" wax lamenting his first release since fabric63 - 'Stereo Systems' EP on Novel Sound, marking it's own dedication to fabric. What a treat!
