AITBF: Chad Valley Free Download

Probably the only artist set to perform at this year’s Adventures In The Beetroot Field who is named after a line of children’s toys, Chad Valley hails from Oxford. As part of the band Jonquil he makes electro pop, but when riding solo as Chad Valley, the man known as Hugo Manuel ups the sun soaked drum patterns, pastiche-ing both summer jaunts and 80s heroes simultaneously. Described by XLR8R as "an uplifting amalgam of '80s-pop samples, distant synth melodies, blown-out dance beats," he’s already making headway with the NME apparently he is “to chillwave what Katy B is to dubstep; turning nerdy sound experiments into massive fun-pop."
