Altino Fernandes is a Portuguese born music lover that you might know a little better as Kid Am. At the turn of the millennium he was drawn to London and started a long residency at Brick Lane's renowned Cafe 1001. Joining forces with Gabbi Lopez in 2004 they formed the Brickbeat parties, a club night that has since moved up the road to the Russian Bar in Hackney. In 2009 Altino became a part of the record label Release Sustain and hasn’t looked back since, providing an outlet for the music made by his Brickbeat roster. This Sunday he plays at WetYourSelf alongside Dissonant’s Marc Antona and the WYS! trio Cormac, Jacob Husley and Peter Pixzel.
