In the depths of Berlin's dilapidated boroughs what was once a house turned squat has been reclaimed and transformed into a round the clock house mecca of colourful intertwining micro-venues. The spirit of Zir Wilden Renate has been building in strength since it was established 5 years ago thanks to its pedigree cast of resident DJs who week in week out bring hedonism at large via their impeccably stocked record bags. One of these vibe makers is Beaner, who will be joining us on June 8th as he prepares to join N.o.N. music in RM3 for another all-night session with resident The Pushamann and guest Owen Howells. So, straight from the bowels of his resident club and courtesy of fellow playmates Samanta Fox’s studio comes Beaner’s fabric Promo mix recorded with analogue at its heart. We won’t go any further into our attempt at accounting the audial qualities of this one and instead allow the maker to do the talking for us… “The mix was recorded in the Samanta Fox boys' studio at Zur Wilden Renate while the club was preparing to open for the night. a couple of turntables, one half-working CDJ in case I wanted to throw some third channel weirdness on top of stuff, and a special bottle of bourbon I bought so that my friends who had been planning on hanging out with me while I did it could drink. Everyone was hung over from the night before and didn’t show up until after I was done, and since I had just resumed drinking after a 14 month break from alcohol, I decided to partake. I hope that is not too apparent."
