Drum and bass original and timeless tune generator,
Blame, will be cramming Room Two with high energy break beats and punters alike alongside Fabio and Grooverider next Friday 19th November. After initial production ventures with Moving Shadow and LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking imprint, Blame’s personal project, 720 Degrees, is currently making huge waves within the drum and bass/crossover movement. His swift switching between his characteristically melodic strain of break beat reelers and the downright dirty illustrates not only his innovation but also an overarching appreciation of the drum and bass realm. His ‘On My Own’ single this year in collaboration with Ruff Squad is further testament to his open-minded attitude. We’re expecting his set next week to take us from night to day and all the way back again, with all the unsullied vocals, ethereal winds and bouncing drum patterns he’s famous for.
Blame has generously sent us a free download of a b-side remix from his September EP
Star featuring Fuda Guy and Camilla Marie. The whole track revolves around a simple, pivotal rhythm where melody mimics drums and the spacey bounces and wind instrument mimicking synths serve to blend and complement the central idea. The honed in, unadorned sound is well worth a listen so clap your ears around this interesting little find and let’s get reflective.
