Ed Warrener, the drum & bass producer better known as Ed:it, has settled into his own sound over his nine years in the scene – a sound that exposes 170BPM club music in its rawest form. This year he made his return with
Silhouettes, a three-part album that aimed to expose the interplay of smooth, soulful and heavy rolling sounds in his music. Released across the year as three separate EPs, each one further cemented his name into the genre, and solidified his home within Shogun Audio’s celebrated roster. Joining him throughout the series were other heavyweights including Rider Shafique, Technimatic, and Pola & Bryson – the latter two of whom will be joining him at Shogun’s FABRICLIVE takeover this Friday. Ahead of their massive 15-year celebrations, he sent us a mix that covers the full range of his musical prowess, marrying masterful selections with his own slick production output.
