Audio: FABRICLIVE presents Hessle Audio - Live on the EDF London Eye

On Thursday the 13th October the Red Bull Music Academy culminated their world tour by taking over the EDF Energy London Eye, aka the biggest ferris wheel in Europe. They put a DJ setup in each pod and invited numerous crews, artists and performers from our nation's capital to populate them, opening tickets up to a public lottery and providing those that missed out on pod tickets with a 6 channel silent disco on the Southbank underneath the iconic structure. FABRICLIVE were invited to participate, so we in turn asked the trio behind Hessle Audio - whose residency here has gone from strength to strength of late - to come and represent a little bit of what we do here on a Friday night. On the day, we found Ben UFO, Pearson Sound and Pangaea bathed in a red hue as we boarded for the soundcheck revolution; all three of them, just as astounded as we were to be suspended up above night time London playing music for 30+ people lucky enough to get entry to capsule #16. RBMA Radio captured the truly special and once in a lifetime experience via an audio feed and the good people over there just came through with the show archive... So... we’re super proud to be able to present the audio from that 60 min + session - though it’s a minor shame they couldn’t have had ambient mics suspended from the pod's ceiling to catch the over-hyped atmosphere, continual gawps and suitably appropriate requests for “wheeeeeels” when Pangaea dropped 'Hex' after Todd Edwards' 'There's No Place Like London'... Check all the streams over on RBMA Radio now.
