Audio: François X shares an eerie techno mix

Head to any big night at Concrete, and you’ll more than likely come across François X. The French-born artist has been one of the Paris institution’s stars since its beginnings, regularly presiding over the main room booth alongside the club’s invited international guests. He’s made a name in this enviable slot for his ambidextrous approach to the genre, but with the release of last year’s experimental-treading Irregular Passion LP and increasingly regular dates across Europe, in recent years he’s built a fanbase extending far beyond the French capital. Next Saturday he comes back to Farringdon alongside Broken English Club, I Hate Models and Faux Naif, and ahead of the date, he sent us a mix showcasing the style of restrained, eerie techno that’s become his main calling card.
